To start with, I am
really</i> proud of my latest piece of lit, and would appreciate any comments on it expressing your thoughts. Thank you in advance for each one!

[link] It's very short, only a few stanzas of work. Please take the time to let me know.
Now, not to give any one the wrong impression, as I do not normally participate in these tag game things...but *
cola82 is my best friend, and she took the time to tag me with one I can appreciate. So here we go:
1. I am more comfortable with my writing than I am my drawing, but I find myself drawing far more than writing...
2. I am self taught, which has meant a lot of practice (still practicing, by the way).
3. I take my inspiration primarily from the Renaissance Period and the world around me
as I see it.
4. My work rarely has the amount of detail I would like to put into it.
5. I enjoy learning new styles, and am working on the Manga style at the moment.
6. If an idea comes to me which I do not quite know how to portray (such as body positioning) I will spend hours (sometimes weeks) studying until I feel that I understand how to do it and why it works that way, rather than just sketching from a reference without the knowledge.
7. Anatomy fascinates me, and I am overly picky about whether or not a fantasy creation's anatomy is at all possible. Taurs bug me the most, as most people portray them with a 90 degree angle in their spine <shudder>.
8. Science Fiction is a high interest to me, but you'll never see a piece of that nature from me, as drawing tech seems to be of no interest to my hands.
9. I can freely draw with both hands, and usually do.
10. I am most content when I am drawing (or writing, though I apparently have a strange mannerism similar to Poe's when doing so), no matter how frustrating the piece is.

When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college - that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?" ~Howard Ikemoto
Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid. ~Jules Feiffer
